| Energy Performance Certificate |
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is issued by a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) and can form part of a Home Information Pack (HIP) when selling a property. From October 2008 it became a mandatory document for landlords to make the EPC available to new tenants as part of the lettings process. An EPC issued against a property for the rental market has a validity of 10 years. |
